By Car
Wick is easily accessed from the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and is just off the main A9 route to Thurso. From, Glasgow take the A82 to Fort William then to Inverness, join the main A9 route North. From Edinburgh take the M90 North to Perth then join the A9 Perth to Inverness and Wick. From Aberdeen the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness, then the A9 to Thurso. The Highlands can be accessed by these three main arterial routes.

By Bus
The main bus operators who operate daily services to the Highlands from major cities such as Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with connections from all other parts of the UK.

By Train
The highlands are connected with Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and all the major UK cities on a daily basis. For further rail travel details visit the Travel Line website.

By Air
In just over 1 ½ hours from London you can land at Inverness airport. Daily services are operated by most flight operators such as British Airways, British Midland and easyJet. You can also fly to Inverness from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles. Services are also available from Edinburgh, Kirkwall and Aberdeen to Wick.

By Ferry
Wick is a great base for touring. The Northlink Ferries and Pentland Ferries operate car and passenger services from Scrabster, near Thurso and Gills Bay respectively to Orkney. John o' Groats Ferries offer passenger-only services to Orkney.
