Surfing Lessons and Experiences
North Coast Watersports is a fantastic surf school based in Thurso, in the far north of Scotland. In fact, it’s the most northerly surf school in the country! Here, you can experience cold water surfing on the stunning waters of the north coast. Suitable for all ages and abilities, you’ll learn how to ride the waves, while seeing the area in a whole new way. Run by instructors Iona and Finn, you’re in safe hands, and their love and passion for surfing is sure to rub off. Not to be missed, during a stay at Mackays Hotel in Wick.
Really enjoyed my stay at Mackays Hotel, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Quality of food and service great with a good selection to choose from Room was a decent size and modern. Will be back again during my next visit
Stand Up Paddleboarding
Alternatively, North Coast Watersports provide stand up paddleboarding (SUP) lessons. Again, both private and group lessons are available. Or you can hire equipment on a 2-hourly or daily basis. This is a another wonderful way to explore our dramatic Scottish coastline!
